- Applicant should have a strong grasp of fundamental concepts and terminology in genomics and medicine
- Should have a proven ability to artfully translate complicated jargon and ideas into simple, everyday English (international standard style)
- Fast, meticulous scientific writing and comprehension skills
- Fluency in the use of PubMed, and an avid, critically minded interest in new discoveries in genetic medicine, are essential
- Familiarity with online biomedical data sources/tools (such as HGMD, SNPedia, HuGeNet etc.)
- Previous experience in scientific writing (academic, corporate, or journalistic) or web design/content creation, are ideal.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
